All the plates available are free of chips, cracks, crazing and fleabites. There are minor if any marks from storage or use. The bottoms have minimal shelf wear.
They are underglaze marked "Racine HR Bavaria" in green. The mark was used from 1887 and into the 1920's.
• Detailed Description:
This listing is for an Antique Hutschenreuther Racine Dinner Plate.
Racine was introduced circa 1900 featuring beautiful scalloped edges with subtle intricately embossed edge detailing. It's nearly identical to Haviland's Ranson pattern. Ranson and Racine differ slightly in weight (Racine is marginally heavier) and have a slight difference in the embossing between the scallops. Similar designs have also been manufactured by Homer Laughlin and others, though none with the quality of Hutschenreuther and Haviland.
The pure white color is clean and elegant, easily complimenting any home decor or table setting.
